Deck in Crystal Creek sub
Our house is located in the Crystal Creek sub in Washington Twp, MI. It is extremely large with 4 different levels of wood. The last company came in (Supreme something) and used an Olympic stain. That lasted only a year or so before it faded away. Scott Paul at OPW suggested trying the Armstrong wood and deck stain. After one year it still looks great and no noticeable color loss. The only minor issue we had was a drip on the window. They came out and cleaned the window a couple of days later.

Olympic is an average homeowner stain. It is not what normal professional's use when staining a deck. In fact the only reason to use it is to save money. the main reason that TWP lasts longer is the higher grade of pigment, trans oxide, and lack of linseed oil.
